Hunting trip

Hayden found himself taking on a simple task in light of his injury from his last mission. He was sent out to collect some ingredients for a local cook. The cook wished to impress the Hokage with his culinary skills. he simply had to collect some truffles, duck, and wild garlic; simple enough to spot in the forests just north of Hacho village. Being this close to Hacho reminded him of the wolves and his ragged arm. He didn't think it would heal right... given Tenno's intervention.

"If it doesn't heal right i can always repair it..." Tenno said, hinting at our eventual symbiosis. Something Hayden looked forward to in earnest. His body was not, as of yet, strong enough to support the full transformation.

He Bent over and picked some wild garlic from the base of a tree. "One down, two to go." He said softly as he now turned down a path. A local child had told him the lake deep in the forest had all sorts of bird living near it.

The water was crystal clear and the scene it provided could not be anymore beautiful. Several flocks of waterbird could be seen around the lake, nesting and caring for young. Hayden selected two plimp looking animals and readied his technique, Tenno form: kunai. four kunai grew from his right arm and in a flash two of them sailed across the water and slew the ducks which floated on the water, limp. Stripping down to his skivvey's, Hayden plunged into the water and swam out to retrieve the animals. He sunned himself on the beach for a while to dry off before heading out for the third ingredient.

The final item proved a little more tricky to find. Truffles were mushrooms which grew underground. However, Hayden knew they grew around a particular pine tree and searched the forest for said tree. He found one a few miles from the lake and set about on his hands and knees digging at it's base. The mushroom grew on the thick roots of the tree, absorbing nutrients from the tree. After collecting a handful of the mushrooms he deposited them in the sack the wild onion was in. He felt a grimice from Tenno, "Family of your's?" He joked laughing too loudly on purpose. "No it's just an afterthought, My creator didn't like the taste of mushroom." Tenno replied softly. "his loss then..." Hayden replied. before setting out to turn in the ingredients.

As he handed over the ingredients the cook bowed thankfully. "Thanks to you I shall rise to stardom amongst the leaf, the hokage shall enjoy this dish thoroughly." He said before hurriedly running off to prepare his master creation. "I guess to some, a well prepared meal brings a peace all it's own.." Hayden said as he thought of food himself. Perhaps some Bar-b-que was in order. He certainly had the pocket change for it now. "You should be saving for your further training. you'll need to emp[loy the services of a master to go any further." Tenno said in a chiding voice. "And if i don't eat i won't live long enough to find a master..." Hayden retorted already set on chopped pepper steak.
