This clan appeared in the Land of Wind over two hundred years ago, when the concept of the hidden ninja villages wasn't explored yet, when the shinobi around the world were hired to protect the Daimiyos and waged wars against each other. In the desertic Land of Wind, a shinobi named Monzaemon Chikamatsu (近松モンザエモン, Chikamatsu Monzaemon), born exactly 347 years previous, was already a famous puppeteer, but still only using his prized puppets to entretain. Seeing how other tools were being used as weapons, like the Cloth Binding Technique, he decided to create battle puppets. In this intent, he created the famous Chikamatsu Collection of Ten Puppets (十機近松の集, Jiki Chikamatsu no Shū). Eventually, these puppets were passed from generation to generation, as his clan continued grow old. This clan went to be known as The Clan That Can Take out an Entire Castle (全体の城を取ることができる一族, Zentai no Shiro wo Toru Kotogadeikiru Ichizoku), and many tried to steal their secrets.
