“Up before the crack of dawn,” that’s what her mother had said when Karma had awaken before the sun even began to rise. A confused look had been placed upon her face, eyes staring at her mother as if she had grown two heads whilst the woman prepared her school lunch. It was clear that Kali’s words didn’t make any sort of sense to her eldest biological child. Karma watched as the woman put down the butter knife, chuckling softly as she ruffled her child’s hair. “It means you woke up before dawn, silly!” Her mother exclaimed, removing her hand from the child’s head as she resumed the task of lunch making. “Oh,” said Karma as she cocked her head to the side, watching her mother closely as she swung her legs back and forth. It was indeed early in the morning, though that fact really didn’t matter to the eight-year-old Karma and very pregnant Kali. The two had been up for about an hour now, the two having cooked and eaten breakfast within that time frame before the woman known as the Mizukage decided to prepare her daughter lunch.
Today would be Karma’s first day in the academy, and she was looking forward to it. The sound of making friends was appealing to the eight-year-old, though she was sad that she would be spending less time with the twins and Keita, and when the baby arrived, less time with her. She liked to be the attentive older sister, but she knew that Keita would watch the twins for her and that the twins would watch over the new addition within the household. She had already picked out a name for the baby depending upon it’s gender; Trinity would be the name if the baby was a girl, and Kaiden if the baby was a boy. The child was eighty percent sure that Trinity would end up being the chosen name since her mother had a feeling that the child would end up being a girl. It didn’t really matter to Karma though, so long as she could shower the baby with an unnecessary amount of love.
Her attention would snap back to Kali, the woman tossing the butter knife into the sink and placing a lunch bag before Karma, smile upon her face. The woman may be twenty-six, but she sure didn’t look the part. Neither her mother or her father looked like a couple in their mid twenties due to their youthful appearance. She heard that foreigners who came to meet her mother didn’t believe that somebody so young was the Mizukage, though the immediately apologized upon the woman stating that she was twenty-six. She hoped that when she got older, that she looked like her mother, though her mother was good to ensure her daughter that she would be beautiful regardless.
Karma hopped out of her seat, landing upon the floor softly as she pulled the lunch bag with her. It was time for Karma’s first day of school.
