Keita had been on a training binge, and he felt that he should take a little break, but after that break, he was right back into the swing of things, and started training again immediately. He went to find some of the genjutsu users in the village, mostly because he wanted to figure out how to break out of genjutsu using the genjutsu kai technqiue, and for that, he would need to understand how genjutsu worked in it's entirety. He wanted to know everything about genjutsu, and since it was a more advanced art that they didn't teach much in the academy, he didn't really know anything about it, and so he was looking around for someone who was good at it. There was one jounin that was very good at genjutsu, but he didn't really openly teach anyone, but there were rumors that he was one of the best in the village. Keita wanted to learn genjutsu really badly, but wasn't really sure where to start. He was thinking that learning from a master like that would be much more useful in learning the ways of the art, especially if the master taught him from a very basic starting point. He was also going to read up about it in the library first, to have a very basic understanding of it, but that came later. He wanted to at least meet this master, and so he went to the administration office to see if he could request some of the information about this man. As he stepped into the administration building, he noticed a woman sitting on a bench, and she looked fairly sad, and was waiting for a person to come back with her info that she filled out. This seemed strange to Keita, and so he went up to her to ask about what was troubling her.

As he talked with her, at first she seemed very reserved, until Keita told her a little bit about himself, how he was a ninja, and he was studying to become a medical ninja. She simply said that she was having horrible night terrors, and that she thinks that someone is breaking into her house every night and stalking her, and so Keita was a bit worried. That was going to be a B ranked mission due to the fact that there was a high possibility of it being a ninja sneaking into the house without anyone else noticing, and that if confronted, there would be a fight, so Keita already knew he couldn't do much to help this women. However, he could possibly help her sleep, and told her about how warmed honey in milk would ease the night terrors if drank right before sleeping. She seemed to be a bit consoled int hat information, and that made Keita happy to see her smile a little. Keita then proceeded to ask about the best genjutsu users in the village to the administration, and after denying chuunin as teachers, he eventually got the name that he was seeking, it was a person named Shachi Yamada, and he was a strong user of three different combat styles, which were Genjutsu, Taijutsu, and Sensory. This would make it much easier for Keita to learn, if he could possibly learn from the man. The man had everything that Keita wanted to learn, and apparently Sensory was something that could come in handy quite a bit, especially because of his kekkei genkai abilities would be greatly amplified by them.

He asked for an address, but apparently that was only something that other Jounin could request, so Keita thanked her anyways and asked if there was some way to contact the Jounin, and the woman only gave a vague area where he was known to show up and train and such. Keita thought that this was a good a place as any to start his investigation, but someone that was skilled in sensory and genjutsu would be very difficult to track, and if the man didn't want to be found, he could easily steer Keita in another direction. So, Keita went to the spot that he was supposed to be in, guided by another vague description of the man, all Keita knew was that he was a fairly large and muscular man, with a long thin mustache and black hair. This could be confused with a few other people, but it would seem that he quickly found the man he was looking for, and thought that it was too easy. He started to walk towards the man, and the man noticed this, and walked in the opposite direction, so Keita followed. The man started to pick up the pace, and so Keita called out to him, asking if he could talk to him for a moment, and then the man picked up the speed even more. The man was very fast, but Keita was also fast, although he still couldn't really keep up with the Jounin. He kept following him until they got to a small forest to the left of the village that people often went to train their senses, as the forest was said to be fairly dangerous. Keita followed the man as best he could, until he couldn't see him anymore. this was when Keita started looking for anything that marked his direction.

He was looking for broken branches, twigs, scuff marks on trees because of the man's large body, but it didn't seem like the man left anything of this nature. this was when Keita noticed he was in the forest deep enough to where he didn't quite remember how to get back to the village. He sighed, but he at least knew how to find his way around, mostly because he wasn't as skilled as the jounin, and so he knew that he left broken branches and scuff marks along the way, and simply followed those home. It was fairly trivial to him to follow his own path home, thanks to a few books about hunting and trapping he read. As he was reaching the village again, there was a figure behind him, and the hair on the back of his neck stood up. Suddenly a large fist came towards Keita's head, and thanks to his animal instincts, Keita barely ducked in time to dodge a punch he couldn't even see. He looked on, and there was a large man with black hair and a mustache, just as the person in the administration office said. Keita had ducked and rolled, and was now sitting on his butt, and the person just glared at him, and then asked him why he was following him. Keita explained that he wanted to better himself, and the man simply scoffed, and said that he didn't teach weaklings like Keita. Keita knew better than to get angry at this, and knew better than to simply believe him at face value. The man was testing him, and as this was a test, Keita thought of the perfect comeback to this, and he said that he was indeed weak. If he wasn't a weakling, then he wouldn't be searching out teachers to better himself in the first place.

Apparently the man liked this answer, as he said the word good, and then grabbed Keita by the scruff and walked him back into the forest. When they were deep in there, he started to talk to Keita about exactly what he wanted to learn. In the forest there, they trained until Keita's body was sore, and then they started to train the mind. He was taught that Genjutsu is the ability to send a predetermined line of code into the enemy's mind, altering their senses and what they perceive in the world around them. This can range from something simple, like changing the color of an existing object, or something more intricate, like making them believe that there is an apple pie, with looks, smells, taste and even texture of an apple pie. This seemed simple, to make someone think there was an apple pie there, but in fact, it seemed like this would be a multi layered genjutsu at lower ability, meaning Keita probably couldn't make this illusion as it effected too many senses at once, and this got Keita greatly interested. First off for genjutsu, you needed a strong and studious mind, which Keita seemed to have, and the next thing is chakra control. Due to Keita's great practice in the art of Medical ninjutsu, he also had very good chakra control, so he was a natural genjutsu user. There were three types of genjutsu, and each of them had their own strengths and weaknesses. The first type was the most powerful type, and was known as direct type. This direct type was single target, and could change a large number of things in a person's senses. Since it only affects one person, it was better in a one vs one situation, but bad in other situations.

The next type of area of effect, and was essentially putting your chakra in an area, and the genjutsu would affect everyone in that area. These were generally weaker, and easier to break with genjutsu kai, but it was good at effecting squads of people, which made it fairly good overall. The third was called static, and was mostly a visual thing. Using genjutsu one could change the appearance and other physical aspects of an object or place, and everyone who looks at it will see the illusion. this was demonstrated in a book as the easiest form of genjutsu, and the easiest to see through, and an example was changing the number that was on the door of a room, fooling others as to what room it actually was. Knowing this didn't really mean anything, as Keita told the person that while genjutsu was fascinating, currently he only wanted to know how to break out of genjutsu and how to break others out of genjutsu as well. The man told him that he should continue his genjutsu career alone after this then, but it was still nice to have someone to talk to that wasn't a completely obnoxious and proud person that wanted to learn powerful genjutsu techniques to crush their enemies. Keita was refreshing to the man, and taught him the very basic idea behind the genjutsu kai. Since genjutsu was about affecting the mind and altering the electrical impulses going between the brain, it could induce feelings akin to pain. Any advanced stimulus to the mind would shake off a genjutsu, such as intense pain, like biting your tongue, stabbing yourself, breaking your own finger, things of that nature.

The other way was to essentially use genjutsu to shock your mind, which essentially wipes out some of the foreign chakra out of your mind, depending on how skilled you are with genjutsu. Most strong genjutsu users will use multiple genjutsu on a person in layers, so that they had to break through these layers first to get the main genjutsu to stop affecting them. This was more difficult the more advanced the genjutsu user was, so he had to make sure to be careful. Genjutsu kai was a simple jutsu that one could teach themselves at any library, but the concepts behind it were starting to get drilled into Keita's head. He figured out how to formulate very simple genjutsu codes in his head, and learned how to project his chakra through hand seals and into the enemy. It had a very limited range, and it was most likely because Keita was simply beginning to learn genjutsu. It seemed that Keita was a natural, and picked up the skills very quickly in regards to speed. He was learning things so fast, and Keita hoped that he would never eventually hit a wall that he couldn't get passed in his learning, because he wanted to know everything this world had to offer in terms of knowledge. He thanked the man, and asked if they could continue the training the next day, as he also wanted to learn more about sensory, which seemed like it was going to be a different approach. The man laughed, and said of course, but Keita would have to wake up extremely early so that they could get started right away.

Keita then trained with the man for the next few days, learning everything he could about Genjutsu. Since he didn't really know any techniques, he was simply learning the basic concepts, and his mind worked in such a way as to put the concepts into coherent structure, and he was absorbing the knowledge like a sponge. Every day, the man quizzed him about random facts about genjutsu that he had learned a few days ago, or even the day right before, to see if Keita was actually retaining the information, and he definitely was. He was like an encyclopedia of knowledge when it came to all things book wise, and could recall all the information. He loved to read, and showed up with multiple genjutsu reference books with him to training everyday, and the man told what information in the books was actually important. Keita was making a name for himself in the village, and it seemed like the man was finally willing and ready to teach him sensory, as genjutsu knowledge from that point on would need to be from experience, practice, and actually learning genjutsu techniques. Keita thanked the man profusely, and the man said that he was going to need to pack for a three day trip out in these forests. This was going to be fun, just like camping, and Keita was excited because he had never gone camping before, and loved new experiences. Keita showed up right before the sun came up, and didn't see the man anywhere. Soon, Keita was enveloped in genjutsu that made him nice and lost in the forest, and soon he passed out.

He woke up without any of his supplies, and the man was sitting next to him, ready to teach him things. Keita wondered where his stuff was, and asked the man where they were, and the man simple said that he had to figure that out, and got immediately into teach sensory techniques. First, to understand sensory, one had to understand the instincts that we still have as animals, and that they were going to go out and catch their own food. Keita had never hunted before, and he didn't really want to, just because he loved fluffy and cute animals and creatures, and he just knew that he would have to kill them for food. It was a good thing that his stomach could handle anything due to the Mushikoro, and he could even eat raw meat without much of a hindrance. So, the first day was simply hiking around, looking for animals, and getting a feel for where they were in the wilderness, not to find their way back to the village, but simply to hone their senses. Eventually, Keita stopped thinking about getting home, and instead started listening to the wilderness, the birds, the trees, there was a small stream somewhere to the west of them, and it seemed like his senses were opened up. This was fantastic, and he didn't really seem to notice until he was tracking a small fox through the wilderness. He remembered every step he took so that he could get back to the small camp they had set up, but when he finally cornered the fox, he simply couldn't kill it, and let it go. Keita sighed at how nice he was, or perhaps he was simply weak in that he couldn't kill to survive.

He found other sustenance in the form of insects that he found inside of fallen over trees and other undercrops. because he was essentially able to eat anything, he ate centipedes, grasshoppers, larvae of unknown insects, among other things. He didn't really feel full, but he wasn't hungry anymore, which was good, and then he walked back and met up with the man again after collecting quite a few insects using his shirt as a bag to hold them in. The man had a bunch of fish attached to the end of a spear that was fashioned from a fallen branch, or a branch that he just ripped up out of the floor. Keita wondered if the man was also good at using weapons, and he probably was in fact. Still, the man had fish, and all Keita had was a bunch of bugs, but the man happily ate them. It was nice to sit out there in the wilderness and starting a fire using nothing but your hands and the environment, and tuning your senses to notice things that you wouldn't normally. After they had eaten and Keita was nice and full, the man started to show Keita how to use his chakra to enhance his senses, and even use his chakra as a large net that he could blanket over an area to find peoples' chakra signatures. Over the three days, he taught Keita how to sense people, tell chakra signatures apart, and even enhance his natural senses with sensory, although that could be seen as a handicap in certain situations, like having a powerful sense of smell and then someone puts down a stink bomb, or having a very keen eye sight, and suddenly having a flash bomb in front of your face. Keita would take these lessons home with him, and read all he could on the subject, but the hands on experience with the jounin was far more valuable. Keita enjoyed the outdoors a lot, so it was nice to sit on the roof of the Furue estate, above his room, and simply stare at the stars. He actually fell asleep up there on the roof, staring at the boundless expanse of the universe, and eventually he wanted to learn about that as well.

Keita was simply passed out at his desk again, but this time it wasn't because he was up all night studying, but rather that after a few weeks of training and expanding on the lessons that he learned from the old man out in the wilderness, he was simply dead tired and relaxing, sleeping off the exhaustion. It was very strange, but Keita found that most times, sitting on the chair and sleeping on his desk was far more comfortable than actually sleeping in his bed, but that was mostly because he almost lived his whole life at his desk, as a figure of speech. He enjoyed sitting at his desk in the deep hours, reading a good book, as if the book was good, he could see the imagery painted within with vivid mental images within his mind. It was actually a fun experience for him reading books, not that a lot of other people understood the points he tried to bring up, and this was mostly because his friends were ninjas and children like himself, so they didn't really much care for reading, unless it related to topics that they were interested in, and those usually weren't works of fiction. Plus, Keita liked the heavier stuff, such as a story that involved a women who had given birth, and the daughter turned out to be an insane serial killer, and the struggles the mother faced. She couldn't outright bring herself to turn her daughter into the authorities, as she would surely be executed, but she wasn't able to save her daughter throughout the book, and eventually had to kill her daughter with her own hands when the daughter attempted to kill her mother. It was a sad and heavy story, but had a lot of values and conflict that one could contemplate about and wok out in their own lives.

Keita wondered what he would do if someone extremely close to him was a serial killer or a missing ninja or something of that nature. He didn't think he could turn them in even if he knew information about them, but he also couldn't stop the anbu from simply picking his brain using their interrogation techniques either, so it was a very strange thought for him. He wasn't going to oppose the authority of the village that kept him safe and happy his entire life, but he also couldn't sell out someone that he loved. Keita was dreaming about his time in the wilderness, which was only about a week ago, and suddenly awoke to a thought. He was almost done learning the basics of everything he wanted to learn, and he needed to continue, even if it put him in the hospital for exhaustion. He wanted to better himself and become well rounded, and he wasn't going to stop until he had done so. The only ninja specialty that he was hesitant to learn was puppetry, mostly because everything else he was greatly interested in used his hands, and he thought that he couldn't really dedicate his hands to learning puppetry, plus he had almost no money, so getting the money to buy or build his own puppets wasn't quite on the table, since he needed medical supplies and the money to buy ninja tools and weapons, make medicinal pills, etc. He decided to go to the local target range to see if he could practice his shuriken and kunai throwing skills. He wanted to be good with weapons so that he wasn't useless at long range, and then he also wanted to learn how to use a sword, or maybe even train with medical scalpels would be pretty fun. The next thing he needed to learn about was Fuuinjutsu, or the act of sealing and unsealing. Fuuinjutsu seemed like it was going to be a lot easier for Keita than weaponry, just because he didn't have much practice with weaponry, and Fuuinjutsu was a series of formulas, math, equations, and seals that one would write onto paper to form a technique.

That was easy for him, simply to memorize certain concepts, but the physical acts of throwing a weapon needed to be engraved into his body through muscle memory, which the Mushikoro would help with, but it was still going to be more difficult. He showed up to the range, and they had a bunch of chipped and cracked shuriken and kunai that were donated so that the genin and academy students could use them and practice their weapon throwing on dummies and targets. Keita picked a small lane, and grabbed some of the shuriken, and then held one in his right hand. He wondered what the best way to hold and throw it was, and so he grabbed it in between his thumb and fore finger, so that he would throw it like one would throw a frisbee, and hopefully it would be accurate enough to where he could figure it out. So, he brought his right hand over to the left side of the body, and then threw the shuriken with a backwards arc, and tried to release it, but released it fairly late, and completely missed the closest target, and then sighed. There was an academy student that snickered at him, and then proceeded to hit the target dummy in the head with all five of his five shuriken. This was like the young kid was taunting Keita, and he simply furrowed his brow at the academy student, as Keita was already an accomplished medical ninja and didn't need to deal with someone like that. Instead, he kept practicing and kept throwing the shuriken until he had no more, and went and picked them up. He wondered how he could become better, as he only hit two of the five attempts at throwing the shuriken, and none of them were close to kill shots like the academy student had.

Keita was about to throw again, when a chuunin came into the range, and was simply watching the academy students. They all seemed to be doing well, and even better when the chuunin showed up, and Keita began to recognize him as one of the other teachers in the academy who was mostly weapon focused. It seemed that a few of these academy students were students of his, and eventually the chuunin took pity on Keita and showed him the proper way to hold and throw the shuriken. Keita quickly thanked the man, and was getting the hang of throwing the shuriken how the chuunin taught him. Keita simply smiled lightly when the chuunin started chewing out his students because there was someone struggling and they just looked on instead of simply showing him proper technique. Keita said it was no problem, and then complimented him and the students on their abilities. He kept practicing, and he was learning extremely rapidly, like he usually did. The muscle memory was being ingrained into his system, and eventually he was hitting the target everywhere he wanted to hit it almost perfectly. He decided to try different ranges, and eventually the shuriken itself was conquered, and put into Keita's memory banks. He repeated the steps with kunai, and eventually, he got to the store and bought a fair amount of senbon. These senbon were going to be his preferred method of fighting, as they could find joints and nerve clusters and shut down opponents without killing them or causing too much damage to the body. A rogue shuriken could cut an artery or major veins and lead to serious problems, and Keita didn't want to accidentally kill anyone.

The senbon were a different story from the shuriken and kunai, had a completely different way to throw them and hold them, and a completely different trajectory, so it was very difficult to get used to them. He had to stop for the day and go back the next day, and eventually after the entire day at the range, he was fairly good at throwing senbon. The other thing he wanted to learn was how to wield a sword or other bladed weapon, and that was a simple thing of going and talking to someone in the village that had a sword strapped to their belt, and asking them if they could show him a few moves. Learning weapons was fairly fun, but definitely not easy for the young Keita. Wielding a sword was very difficult for him, as the training swords that were given to him were heavier than normal swords, so that they could train his body to swing a sword easily. Well, he had already trained greatly in Taijutsu, so wielding the training sword wasn't really that difficult weight wise, but he wasn't a natural in sword fighting like he was in genjutsu. He got beaten and bruised a lot, not only by his instructor, but by other people who were practicing with their swords and offered to spar with Keita. Keita was small and cute, so people thought it was because he couldn't swing the sword around properly because he was so small, but it wasn't really that, he was simply bad at coordinating his body with what his mind wanted him to do. He kept practicing until he could barely stand, and then stumbled and limped home with a big grin on his face. One couldn't expect to proceed without a bit of suffering, and this was his Nindo, or ninja way. One must go through and overcome suffering to have a pure heart. Life itself was suffering, but through the suffering of life, there are moments were you are proud that you got through the suffering stronger than before.

Keita was happy to think about that as he was sprawled out over his bed and instantly fell asleep. The next day, he grabbed some breakfast, said hello to his cousins, and then told them that he was going to train again that day, to which they seemed a little concerned about him, because the bruises on his body had become purple, although they weren't swelling or anything. They were most likely going to swell that day since he was determined to continue his harsh training with the sword users. It was fun, and eventually he was able to throw around the metal easier, and was better about defending himself in that way against the other sword users. They were happy with his progress, although it was slow compared to the rest of the people practicing, but that was to be expected from someone who had never picked up a sword before and mostly read books. The training overall was good, and he was happy with his performance, but the people there were adept, a nd he learned all that he could from them, and decided to move onto his next goal, which was to learn fuuinjutsu. This one, he actually didn't need anyone to teach him specifically, because everything he wanted to learn was available at the library, and that was exactly where he went that day. He offered his cousins to come with him to the library, but they did that once, and noticed that he had over sixty percet of the medical books at the table with himself, and they said that he studied to much. Well, some of his cousins said that, his cousin Karma was another person that was interested in medical ninjutsu, and she was also a hard worker.

Keita continued to read and read and read, the basics of fuuinjutsu started to open up within his mind, and he started to learn about it. It was strange, and was almost like the old tales of alchemy, using arrays to channel energy and change the properties of matter, and he wondered if anyone had ever tried to complete the same thing using the principles of fuuinjutsu. Fuuinjutsu essentially acted as a catalyst, a symbol that would hold the chakra and tell it what to do was placed on a piece of paper or written on a surface, and when the user wished to activate it, chakra was fed to it, and because the action was already pre-recorded, it would simply activate, no hand signs required. This was only fuuinjutsu through seals, however, as Keita continued reading, he learned that one could seal off elements and other things, and apply seals directly through contact using their hands. It was a very interesting specialty, and right up Keita's alley. The generic sealing technique was product of fuuinjutsu, and it seemed like it was definitely needed if Keita was going to be a medical practicioner. Having a bunch of medical supplies in a scroll instead of a bag seemed to be far more efficient of a way to carry around things, the scroll could also most likely be used to contain some of the weapons or pills that he would carry along with him, so this was invaluable to learn. As he combed through the scrolls and books about fuuinjutsu, it was getting late, and he had forgotten to eat, so he simply checked out some of the books as he usually did, said goodbye to the library attendant that knew him by first name now, and then went home.

He decided to stop by a dango stand and use a bit of money from his missions to buy his cousins some, and when he got home, he gave them most of them while happily eating his with them. He was blessed with a good life, and he knew that eventually he would go through something horrible, especially because of that announcement from that guy who claimed to be the sage of the six paths. He knew he shouldn't worry about things like that, as he was still a genin, but he couldn't help but focus his mind on it. He made sure to get plenty of sleep, although he was still up fairly late studying the texts about fuuinjutsu, he made sure not to stay up too late as his family got mad at him when he did that. He didn't really have anything to do the next day, and so he was right back in the library. He met someone there that wanted to check out the same intermediate fuuinjutsu book as he did, and the young woman decided to share, after some speculation about Keita's appearance, and not thinking that someone so young was interested in fuuinjutsu. After reciting a few lines ver batum to the woman from a fuuinjutsu text book, she reluctantly said she got it, and sat down next to him and opened the book. Keita, growing up with reading and the Mushikoro, read much faster than the woman, and simply waited for her to be done, which seemed to slightly annoy her, so Keita tried to pretend to keep reading by staring at the page until she flipped it. He didn't want to make her feel bad, and wondered by someone like this would be jealous or angry at a kid for being able to read faster.

Each person had their own skills and their own special things they were good at, and Keita understood that his was reading and comprehension of ideas and concepts. She had strong legs and an overall slender but fit body type, so she was obviously a strong type, and wondered what other sorts of things she was good at, considering she had a good physique as well as an interest in Fuuinjutsu. She wasn't really talkative, so Keita decided to take the initiative, and ask her her name and why she liked fuuinjutsu. She said that she didn't really like fuuinjutsu, but she was from a family that specialized in it, and didn't want to disappoint her parents, so decided to learn a little bit about it. Keita thought it was interesting, and they talked a while about the finer points of fuuinjutsu that her father taught. He was getting second hand teachings from this person, which was actually nice, as it was good to have someone to talk to about things that interested you. After they had finished that book, Keita decided to leave, as he knew enough about fuuinjutsu to start creating his own and learning jutsu. She said he was welcome to talk to her again if he saw her in the library the next time, and with that, Keita got yet another friend to talk to. He was glad that he was able to make friends so easily, and he chalked it up to him being adorable. He wondered if people would find the gigantic vein like scar on his chest ugly, and if that would make him not quite as liked. Or maybe if they knew he was essentially fused with a parasite, they wouldn't like him anymore.

He shouldn't have been thinking those thoughts, but he was young and naive, and knew from the books he read that some people were callous and far too judgmental towards others. Keita decided to go and buy a paper bomb from the ninja tool store, simply because it was one of the easiest fuuinjutsu seals to write and activate, as even someone that had no idea how fuuinjutsu worked could activate it with a simple activation seal, and so Keita assumed it would hold a bit of beginner and even advanced information within it. It seemed like it had the kanji for explosive on it, and Keita had heard of power through words before, and it also seemed like it could explode. The entire length of the paper had various symbols on it that seemed to almost be like biological lightning marks, and it seemed like those symbols were to spread the explosive energy of the chakra throughout the paper and make the explosion as large as possible on that little piece of paper. Keita wanted to see how it worked, and knew that if he cut the paper bomb's symbol before it activated, he would deactivate it, so that was something to take into consideration. He went to a range again, and threw the paper bomb as it was attached to a kunai, and then performed the activation seal, detonating it. The reason he did that was to see the kanji and symbols light up as his chakra surged through it for a split second.
