Loki was in the library once again ready to start researching yet another skill set to add to his arsenal. Not knowing really anything about Kinjutsu as he preferred Taijutus for the most part he simply meandered through the library scanning the shelves until a particular book caught his eye. Titled "The Shigure Souen Kenjutsu Style" it was labeled quite plainly and quite honestly was easy to pick out which was partly why Loki took an interest in it as seemed to pertain to just one Kenjutsu style not a generalized book on some basic general Kenjutsu skills. Although learning some basics honestly couldn't hurt him either but Loki wanted to set the bar high. With this in mind he began flipping through the pages learning the history of the Kenjutsu as it was recorded so.
Now with the basic history fresh in his head there were only a few more steps before Loki could really begin his training. If he indeed wanted to pursue this particular kenjutsu style there would certainly be a long road ahead of him. First finding somebody who practiced this style, if there were indeed any still around, though with a book such as this he couldn't believe that there weren't any still around. Then there came the problem of convincing him or her to teach him or at least the basics of the style. It would certainly be an interesting adventure one that looked almost daunting at first but Loki was indeed up to the challenge and Gyuki backed him one hundred percent of the way.

Shigure Souen History wrote:For centuries, Ame no Kuni was pulled into wars that they did not wish to ignite due to their geographical location. Their shinobi forces were mediocre at best, their golden age have long since passed and bandits raged through home's of those who could not be saved in time. However 200 years ago there were two powerful kenjutsu practitioners that lived in Ame no Kuni, Takeda Shingen and his twin brother Takeda Nobushige. The two men both wanted the chaos to end and in order to do so vowed to restore peace through the use of kenjutsu.
Those who have watched the two fight in pairs have said that they fought like that of no other style, flowing together in perfect unison and attacking with the force of a tsunami, the style would later be known as the Shigure Souen Style (時雨蒼燕流). Words of their kenjutsu style and vigilante acts scattered far and wide to the ears of the many who lived in Ame. Even the government started to take notice to the duo due to the sharp increase in the overall progress in rebuilding their "shaky" economy and news of caravan raids became less and less frequent eventually almost non-existent.
After 10 years of vigilantism, the two brothers finally decided that it was time to settle down and open a school to teach those who were willing to commit to the style. The leader of Amegakure offered to the two brothers a carefully handcrafted katana named Shigure Kintoki (時雨金時) in honor of their selfless mission to bring peace back to their country and in dedication to the creation of their kenjutsu style. The school started out small ran by only the two brothers, but as time went on the school grew slowly but surely and shortly after both of their passing their legacy was passed down to Takeda Shingen's only son, Takeda Katsuyori.
Completely devoted the legacy his father and uncle left behind, Katsuyori opened the doors of the school to all those who were in need. Due to this, the number of practitioners of the Shigure Souen Style increased by almost three fold and to keep regulations in check Katsuyori established a council that comprised of 24 of the wisest members of the Takeda family. The numbers reached it's peak 40 years ago which also happened to the year Katsuyori's firstborn, Takeda Nobukatsu. But with great power comes a greater evil than any mortal can contain forever.
Year passed and all members that sat on the council began to grow weary to their cause as well as their leader Katsuyori. The numbers in the school totaled over the tens of thousands and due to the fact that the heads no longer held any power over them began to riot and rebel. Katsuyori, in his delusional state secretly created a pact with the council to begin a mass "cleansing" of all those who trained in the Shigure Souen Style but was not of Takeda blood. His son, Nobukatsu, eventually caught wind of this and barged into the council chamber only to be held down by the guards while he screamed in protest. His father, Katsuyori would only watch in silence before telling his men to take his son away.
Nobukatsu was frustrated and tired due to the fact that his wife had recently passed away due to massive blood loss while giving birth to his first and only son, Takeda Yamato. Not wanting to compromise his son's life and his own, he began to collect evidence of the clan's atrocity in hope that one day he will present his case to the government of Amegakure. Another 10 years have passed, and his son Takeda Yamato had graduated at an extremely young age due to his natural born instincts as a fighter and warrior. Sensing the time was near and his plan would be all for not, Nobukatsu pleaded and showed everything he had collected about the clan's dark secret to the leaders of Amegakure.
Sadly, the leaders of today were controlled by greed and have long been under the control of the Takeda heads. Saying that they did not want to risk a civil war, Nobukatsu's words fell on deaf ears and soon after committed "suicide" to ease his pain and his son, Yamato had disappeared shortly after his father's death along with a scroll containing all the skills/moves in the Shigure Souen Style as well as the Shigure Kintoki which was said to be under the care of Nobukatsu at that time.

If he indeed wanted to pursue this particular kenjutsu style there would certainly be a long road ahead of him.
