- Appearance:
He wears pale gray pants with torn edges to the bottom, as well as black sandals with gray bandages wrapped around his ankles and the sandals themselves. When his poncho isn't on, the black sheathed Chokuto he always conceals under it is visible in the grasp of his right hand. He always has his hair matted down by the navy blue sash wrapped around his head in a series of times. He wears three necklaces representing the mementos he gained from his last three genin he tutored, one vivid blue, one bloody red and the last turquoise green. They're often worn due to Kamina mourning them, because of their deaths.
Nindo: "Make use of your talent, instead of wasting it."
Personality: Kamina is quite the eccentric individual. The guy takes care of whatever business he has to do, but if he has companions, he lets them do it unless it's a truly important task at hand. The laidback man spends his freetime reading comedic romance novels from a particular series. He often has a lazy looking stare on his face, which is worsened by the fact that the collar to his poncho or the black long sleeve beneath it hides his mouth, making his true emotions unclear. His sentiment can only be recognized by how he expresses himself with his eyes.
He has his serious points in time though, often suddenly becoming very serious to take care of business. When this occurs, Kamina releases his true skill as a shinobi. Unlike when he's relaxed and cracks jokes all the time, there is never a point in time when his eyebrows are arched in seriousness. He fights without remorse, without any form of handicap for his opponent in this state of mind. Kamina has a weird attraction towards girls that are cute and/or wear glasses. He also prefers takoyaki, ramen, umeboshi and many other festive treats, even when there is no festival to endulge upon them at.
He also likes reading romance / comedy books, evident by the fact that he's always reading them when he doesn't have a mission to perform on. He likes girls with any fluorescent colored hair, whether it's red, blue, green..anything. He doesn't seem to like purple haired girls, though. Kamina even has his own preferences for shades of blonde hair, even though it's weird. He prefers "platinum" blonde hair, for no particular reason. Kamina noticeably likes attending festivals, as well as teasing people whom are helpless against his friendly verbal assaults.
While in his serious state of mind Kamina can often stick to rules like gorilla glue. Unlike when he was younger, he sometimes ignores them if something risks the life of someone he can save. However, despite the fact thathe may do this, he's always hostile when he has to. With some swallowing of his pride he can fight at his fullest even if it's against a friend, with the exception of lethal attacks.
Kamina has great acceptance for people whom have hard lives. He's a very considerate person even when he's in his lazy, laidback move. He toys with his opponents in his fights, when he has them. Kamina has also been shown to have lots of physical activity. He likes doing outdoor activities, regardless of who it's with. The man has no economical standards for people he befriends. He doesn't care much about politics even if he may sometime be involved with them inadvertently. Even when involved with politics under those circumstances he still keeps his calm and laidback attitude as usual.
Kamina never expects or requests honorifics from people that may like him or vice versa. He often says that honorifics are a drag, his way of saying they're a giant waste of time. It's unexplained as to why he dislikes honorifics, but the fact that he doesn't ask for respect is what makes him so likable. He'll address anyone who he feels like addressing, often ignoring or simply not noticing people's embarassment. Often, his naturally laidback nature makes people doubt him, but when they witness him beat someone die while simultaneously reading a book they recognize his true skill as a shinobi.
Kamina has many other dislikes too. He doesn't like salty or sweet foods. He can live with salty foods, but not any type of food that's way too salty. Spicy foods just make him shudder. For some reason Kamina doesn't like things that are way to sweet, but he doesn't mind stuff that's sweet in general.
Favorites: In the personality...
History: Kamina was born on September 15th. Around the time of two his father and mother were making major dough. His mother was the owner of the first bakery to create donuts. She had many employees, making at least 10,000 Yen a day on average. She was very generous to her employees, giving them a wopping 3,000 Yen, which was obviously above the minimum wage but it was evident that she didn't care. The carefree individual had bore three children that were healthy, and so her life was brilliant. Kamina had two other siblings, one was his older sister, which was 6 at the time, and then his older brother, which was 4 at the time. His older brother's name was Kojiro.
His older sister's name was Sayuri. His father, Gehatsu, "worked" as a viligante for preventing crimes in Kumo. Gehatsu personally trained Sayuri and Gehatsu while they were still young, expecting them to become shinobi. His father made 25,000 Yen daily, which was atleast 10x over the minimum wage. Their family was very wealthy because of their parents. Sayuri grew up to become a specialist in Genjutsu, as did Kojiro. Kojiro eventually bypassed Sayuri in Genjutsu skill, managing to pass the Chuunin Examinations at the age of 11, 2 years after he passed the Genin examination two years earlier than expected. Sayuri started to focus on becoming a sensory ninja, and became part of the sensory unit, joining the ANBU forces with her younger brother Kojiro. Kamina was lucky to have no expectations from his father, because his father was already proud of his highly successful family.
By the age of 6, Kamina started becoming interested in the ways of being a shinobi. He trained excessively in secret, unknowingly being watched by his older sister Sayuri. On his freetime he trained, took naps and babysitted his recently new younger sister, Sasuna. Sasuna was expected to take over the police force. Kamina overcame his personal weaknesses over pure determination. After studying handsigns in a shinobi handbook his father brought home four years ago for Kojiro, he purchased a scroll for learning the Shadow Shuriken Technique after saving his allowance for five months. After weeks of training, Kamina perfected the technique and then showed it off to his father, two days before his birthday. His father celebrated his son's success, and accepted Kamina's request to enter the Academy.
The young boy applied for the Academy three days after his 7th birthday, being accepted after showing off the technique he trained for. After four years of diligence and hardwork, it paid off when he graduated after the average four years expected of an academy student before they became Genin. He helped his seven year old sister with training often, but otherwise he trained in efforts to perfect Taijutsu. After half a year of training his taijutsu, he finally gained enoguh experience in the area to create his own technique, Lion's Barrage. The young boy then trained with his brother whom was 14 at the time. They fought for three exhausting hours, which ended with Kojiro not being tired at all. The next day they fought again, and the same schedule occured the next.
Throughout this excessive training Kamina had developed sensory specialization by the last day, which allowed him to notice any changes in Kojiro's chakra pool, so he could recognize when he was using some type of technique, something that aided him intensely. After training with Sayuri and Kojiro for the next two years, Kamina attended the Chuunin Examinations, being assigned to a random group of Amegakure ninja who were short of one member and were planning on eventually being drafted into Konohagakure eitherway. They had great teamwork, and they were able to cheat easily, making the first examination ands econd examination easy.
Kamina immediately took out his opponent, a Hozuki, with Lion's Barrage, because they hadn't perfected the Hydrification Technique. The boy watched as his Amegakure friends fought in the preliminaries, barely passing. Kamina noticed a Kaguya across the top of the stage watching area, looking at him with bloodthirst. Unfortunately, that same Kaguya was his opponent in the next fight. He looked as though he wasn't going to win the match at first, but he was holding back, evident by the fact that only one of his eyes were covered. He used a soldier pill, regaining his lost stamina and using that oppurtunity to finish the Kaguya at once.
He showed off a technique he'd noticed someone use before. He threw one fuuma shuriken, then multiplied that one fuuma shuriken into ten. While the Kaguya was busy with those randomly moving fuuma shurikens, Kamina caught his foe off guard and knocked him into the air, subduing him with Front Lotus shortly after releasing the Gate of Opening. He officially beat his opponent and moved on, noticeably exhausted. Luckily, he didn't fight til one month later, after the preliminaries ended and only seven people remained, three including Kamina and the two Amegakure shinobi that were accepted as draft shinobi during the preliminaries.
He trained with them but avoided letting them see any more of the techniques that he learned, since he showcased most of them in the examination. Instead of taking the direct approach, by the time the examination came, Kamina was fighting like a strategist, up against a person who was great at using Fuuinjutsu, a prodigy of the Uzumaki clan. He set up a series of traps, managing to catch the Uzumaki prodigy in a series of steel wiring that trapped them. The Uzumaki quit, having exhausted their chakra trying to catch him in the first place, and being trapped in steel wiring.
From this tactical feat, Kamina was officially promoted to Chuunin and removed from the examinations. A year after his promotion Kamina found himself on his first A-Rank mission, a diplomatic attempt to re-institute the treaty between a minor Kaminari no Kuni village and Kumogakure. After his return, he was approved for creating a mission-based team of highly experienced elite genin. He went on a series of missions with them, and for his 18th birthday they surprised him when the three recommendations they sent in for him, for him to become Jounin, along with the combined efforts of his family and their family. He treated them to ramen, training them to the best of his ability on missions and on their freetime.
By the Chuunin Examinations, all three of the genin had became Chuunin and thus they left his team. Kamina then gained his first team he was in charge of, ensuring their succession. Two of the three genin became Chuunin, and the last one eventually became part of the medical corps. Kamina was assigned a second team two years after, and although he trained them hard, they seemed to misunderstand where he was coming from. On a fateful day, Kamina was followed by his group of genin whom were trying to prove they weren't immature and weak like he assumed they were. Kamina and the group of four Chuunin that came with him were ambushed, and the only casualties were the ambushers and the team of genin that Kamina was training.
Typical fucking politics blamed him for the death of his genin. Kamina ignored politics as usual, returning from the mission, and although he succeeded with the mission, he didn't succeed with life. He made those three necklaces and wore them out of remembrance of his second team. After doing so, Kamina was sent to a minor village on the verge of being taken over by another minor village, to gather information for a year. He returned a year later, giving the information to Kumo. Luckily, that said year was enough for him to forgive what had happened to the Genin, though he never managed to rid the pain that ached his heart from the loss of the three that he cared for so dearly, that he loved, despite their ignorance. That was the day he crafted his nindo. It took 26 years, but the life-changing advice every shinobi had for themselves in their conscience had finally knocked on the door to his.
