Kali sighed deeply as she dropped down into a fighting stance, brown eyes on Misaka and Kaiden, off-black hair swaying in the wind and at that moment she wished she had tied her hair into a bun, but she had no time to do that. Taking her eyes off either of her mentors wasn’t an option for the two had no problem using any and all opens she presented to them. She knew of their weakness, just like they knew of hers, but thanks to their experience, there were fewer weaknesses that Kali had to exploit. She knew that Kaiden was proficient in Ninjutsu and Taijutsu, whilst being skilled at Fuinjutsu and minimum skill in Genjutsu. Misaka was a Ninjutsu master, who was somewhat adept at Bukijutsu and proficient at Sensory. She could harm them both with boil release as well as lava release, and doing so would definitely give her some wiggle room, but she had a feeling that the two knew how to deal with such things. It only made sense that they did, they were both apart of the Terumi clan and both had probably sparred with their own clansmen on more than one occasion. Yet Kali kept that course of action open whilst she weighed other options.

She definitely needed to get rid of Kaiden first, the man possessing Genjutsu skills. It may be minimum, but with her inability to become anything else but a novice in that category, and her lack of the technique that would allow her to release herself from the Genjutsu, getting caught in one wasn’t an option, even if it was weak. On top of having to worry about his Genjutsu skill, she also had to worry about his Fuinjutsu skill, for the battle would practically be over if he had his hands on ‘Five Element Seal’. Sure she could rely on her Taijutsu skills, but that would mean nothing when the two decided to fire scalding water of doom and fiery lava balls of death at her, which by the way, she couldn’t really counter with Taijutsu. She wasn’t stupid, not by a stretch of anyone imagination, and thus getting rid of the primary threat was a good idea. Misaka was a threat as well, but than again, the two practically shared the same specialties and thus her threat level wasn’t as high as Kaiden’s. The woman must know this and so must the male, but the two didn’t look too worried about it. It sort of made Kali nervous though she shoved the feeling away, knowing that being nervous would do her no good.

No, she needed to use that strategic mind of hers so that she may win the spar, though with her outnumbered one to two and under experienced compared to the two adults, the chances of her coming out as the victor was very, very, slim. But she had to try anyways for that all that really mattered to her two mentors. Her resolve hardened and determination in her eyes, the teenager was ready to make her first move. She formed the single hand seal required for the technique most associated with boil release, and at that moment her two mentors would decide to launch their attack. In the mind of Kali, they were too late if they desired to stop her from spewing the mist that was a danger to all except herself, the gas spewed from her mouth, obscuring the entire area. With no hesitation on her part, Kali immediately activated her sensory technique, picking up only one live chakra signature that match that of Kaiden’s but Misaka’s was no where in sight. It told the Himitsu that the woman had decided to suppress her chakra and thus she needed to be extra careful when it came to her surroundings.

She held her arms up, ready to strike without a moment notice, something that would be crucial if her two mentors were thinking of ambushing her in the mist. It was a feat that would be impossible for Kaiden to do for he couldn’t suppress his chakra unless he had a seal that would do that. Misaka on the other hand could definitely attack her, and that would be a problem since the woman wouldn’t show up on her radar. If Misaka decided to attack from behind, she would only have her reflexes to rely on, but she didn’t expect one to be launched just yet. The woman would wait for the perfect opportunity to attack her student, and Kali had a feeling that that opportunity would present itself only after she had been weakened. But she had no time to think about that as Kaiden was rushing towards her. How he had known where she was? Probably Misaka. No, not probably Misaka, definitely Misaka, the Himitsu having caught a quick glimpse of the woman’s chakra signature. Yet as soon as it had appear, it had vanished, much to the annoyance of Kali though she had to turn her attention to the problem at hand, and that was Kaiden.

She heard him before she saw him, and she only saw him when her head jerked up, brown eyes catching the man’s descent before she instinctively rolled out of harms way. Kali quickly sprung back onto her feet, knowing that being on the ground was a huge disadvantage, and blocked an incoming kick. She retaliated quickly, swinging her own leg, hoping it connected as she expended chakra to release steam. It would burn her male mentor, the pH level of the steam being two, which was different from the mist, which was pH5. Of course with actual enemies Kali would use the strongest pH level she had, but at the moment she had no desire to severely hurt her mentors, which she would had done if she were to increase the pH level of the mist any higher than it already was. Of course Kaiden cried out in pain, probably not expecting for Kali to have done that, and she quickly took the opportunity to fade back into the mist. She knew that the man would recover quickly, he always did, and she didn’t want to be in his sights when he did.

Silently she maneuvered herself around the older man, making sure that she was quiet and a safe distance from him before she decided to send a fiery ball of fire his way. It hadn’t been too wise of a decision since he had seen the glow of the flame upon whirling around and thus had dodged, much to Kali’s disappointment. She frowned as she rushed over to Kaiden, her body producing steam with a pH level of five as she went to engage the man in Taijutsu, totally forgetting about Misaka at that moment of time. The man had expected her, dropping down into a ready stance though suddenly he leapt away from her. It had confused Kali at first before she felt the heat of a rapidly approaching fire as well as the crackling noise, and all she could do with halt her advances and leap backwards, narrowly avoiding the fire. She had no time to for relief, for at that moment she would be assaulted on two fronts, her two mentors now fighting her together. Though she could very well burn the crap out of the two, it did her no good if she couldn’t strike at them. They had forced her on the defensive side, and she knew that she was beat at that moment unless she found a way to…

Kali leapt into the air, propelling herself away from her mentors upon gathering chakra into her feet, landing a good five meters away from them. At that very moment, she decreased the pH level of the mist, going from a five to a three within seconds. It was a dirty move on her part, but than again, it was a move that would have her mentors unable to combat her properly. She felt slightly guilty, having no desire to harm her mentors, but it had to be done. Besides, they would be fine, they had probably received a lot more, and their bodies could be easily healed by a medic. So she shoved her guilt away as she widen the distance between her and her teachers, just in case the two decided to attack her. Yet neither had, far too busy coughing up blood to attack their student. Deeming that they had had enough, Kali would return the pH level to five before approaching her mentors, twiddling her fingers nervously as she looked at the two. “Erm, I win?” Kali said, and suddenly two pairs of eyes were on her. “Yes, but I am going to punch you for that,” Misaka said, “and you can’t block it.” Kaiden chuckled weakly, “hey, at least you know how your victims feel.” That was apparently the wrong thing to say for Misaka’s eyes were now on Kaiden, “I didn’t want to know how my goddamn victims felt!”

“Oh?” Kaiden smiled, and Kali backed up, knowing that the two Terumi were about to get into it. Silently she watched as the two argued, happy that she had won, though it would be the last fight she won between the two for the next five years.
