It has come to my attention some believe Gai is a threat to Sanji
This thread has been made to show the differences between and Gai.
SPEED ANALYSIS
First of all, we will start with speed. Sanji's Diablo Jambe is a kick that's so fast, it lights his leg ablaze. Sound familiar? It should! This is much like Gai's Morning Peacock that requires the 6th gate to use. Both use friction and speed to light the air around them on fire, but Gai has never been show to do it in his base form.
An extremely early form of Sanji has even been depicted dodging machine gun fire. This Sanji is VASTLY underpowered compared to his post time skip form. While chasing a sea monster under water, he was even able to light his leg ablaze.
Luffy has dodged a point blank liquid explosion, placing him around mach 22 in reactions. But, this isn't even his most impressive feat, and both Luffy and Sanji are relatively the same power. Before the timeskip, Luffy dodges FUCKING LIGHTNING, which averages about mach 180. Sanji is MUCH, MUCH MUCH stronger(and better at everything else, really) then that Luffy was.
