Xagan walked briskly to the tip of a small hill in the village hidden in the clouds, humming loudly since nobody could hear her. The girl's yellow hair was blown back by a strong breeze which made a quiet whistling sound. Xagan had to hold her hat still to ensure it didn't fall off. Once the breeze calmed down, the chunin sat cross-legged, taking time to ensure she was comfortable. She would need focus.
A bead of sweat slid down the right side of Xagan's tan-skinned face. She was nervous, of course, that she would be training her medical ninjutsu skills. After all, this was something she had practised most of her life, and probably one of the reasons Itome took her in. Probably the only one, considering he was a boy, and probably quite selfish.
"No!" Spoke Xagan, to herself of course, "Itome's not like that!"
She shook her head a few times, just to reassure herself, and then decided to stop focusing on that. She needed to practice her jutsu. Her head turned, trying to find an object, any object, that could cause damage. Out of the corner of the girl's blue eye (her left one), she spotted a small stone. After picking it up and inspecting it she came to the conclusion that it would do.
"Okay.."
She raised the stone above her left hand, but hesitated a bit. Oh come on, she thought, don't be such a scaredy-cat and do it!. Closing her eyes for a bit, she brought the stone down on her hand, and felt the pain the moment the two objects collided. Blunt force really was horrible. She dropped the stone to examine the injury.
Her hand had a clear bruise on it, right on the centre, and it was bleeding ever so slightly. The pain wasn't as bad now, but Xagan didn't want to waste any more time. She raised her other hand over the injury, and used the Mystical Palm technique. Instantly, under the fresh air of the blue light, the injury seemed to stop stinging, and bleeding, and within seconds, it was healed.
"All right....that's all good. Now we have to step up our game."
After a few minutes of hesitation, the girl turned over the stone. It's other side was more pointy and jagged. It was a better weapon. She stared at it for a moment, confident in her abilities, yet also doubtful. Her thoughts were mixed up, but eventually she decided to just get it over with. The jagged edge was slammed near her shoulder, splattering a bit of blood. But the blood wasn't the problem. Xagan soon found that piercing damage was much worse than blunt force.
But this wasn't enough. Without stopping, Xagan stabbed again, and then a third time. She dropped the stone, panting. She continued to pant for a moment, until she noticed that she was bleeding more than expected...not good. She raised her hand over to the injury and activated the jutsu.
The pain stopped, but Xagan still had doubts. Could she do this? Yes, yes she could! Overcome with confidence, the Chunin focused more chakra into the jutsu, increasing the healing process. The pan had stopped, the injury sealed, and Xagan knew she had accomplished her task.
"Hmph. And I thought I couldn't do it.."
