Over 200 years ago in this very village, a wise man once said "A hero always arrives late." This very man was known as "The Hero of the Hidden Leaf" and the wise sage, Uzumaki Naruto. He created an era of peace that lasted throughout the villages for a long time, but everything ends. Today a hero did not arrive. No, today reality had appeared at Konoha's doorstep, and reality hurts. The village hidden in the leaf had been mistreating other villages for far too long, looking down on them as if they weren't even worth its time. Kumogakure was no exception; The previous Raikage allowed Konoha to treat Kumo like a doorstep. It was sickening to see how far a once great nation had fallen, but never again. Juri Han, or the new Raikage, appears in front of the Konohagakure gates with only her clothes and a backpack. No ANBU members were needed, nor did she need her Raikage hat and cloak. This little domestic visit was all business, no pleasure.
It was around 4 in the afternoon, barely any clouds in the sky, it was a nice day. A bit windy though, and the temperature was around the low 60s. People were happy. It could be seen even from the other side of the gates, Juri could witness the smiles on these civilians faces. As she enters Konoha, not a single guard stopped her, nobody asked her for information... nothing. A S-Ranked ninja just walked right into Konoha uncontested, which was foolish considering how many enemies Konoha had made. But this is what happens when you've oppressed everyone else, you get too fucking comfy. In her hand was a note, written earlier by one of her most respected Shinobi, giving delicate information. She smiles as she re-reads it, continuing her stride. A young boy kicking a ball accidentally kicks the ball into Juri's leg. Hesitant at first, he ponders wither he should ask for it back. Juri smiles and hands it to him "Hey next time you hit me with the ball I'll have to keep it!" she says jokingly, leaving both of them smiling. He rushes back over to the group of kids he was playing with and continues. "I wonder if he's a good candidate." she says softly to herself, eyeing the boy. "Nah." Only a ninja would do.
Strolling through Konoha was so very easy that Juri decided she wanted to stop for a meal. So she found the now famous Ichiraku ramen shop and ordered herself a beef ramen bowl. Her mistake, she did this without checking the price. It was absurdly high, but she understood why, this place was "the Hero's" favorite place. After gulping down the meal she is not at all impressed, the ramen tasted like shit. All that money and for what? A half assed bowl of noddles and broth?! "I've had better instant ramen than this shit." she says, paying the meal and leaving that shithole. Guess when you have a famous name, you don't need to actually have good food. "Naruto would be so disappointed..." Juri whispers to herself while she continues through the village. Now all that's left is to find a suitable target.
