Kali drummed her fingers against the smooth wooden surface that was her desk, her face against her fist, elbow propped up on the desk as her brown eyes stared at a folder that contained the files of a blonde hair child that hadn’t been seen in days. The child staring up at her was Miuu, a fifteen-year-old girl that she hadn’t heard of nor had known was missing until the regular check up on the shinobi that had occurred yesterday. Her file was the only one on her desk, her location uncounted for unlike the other shinobi who were out of the village, and quite frankly she had left without a word, a letter, or even an escort. It had the twenty-nine-year-old woman rather concerned about what had become of the child, and so she had called Katsuro Senju to her office.
The man was former Anbu, hunting down those who had gone missing was his trade and thus she trusted him to conduct this assignment. Kali did hope that Miuu was alive, it would be bad if the child had died, she being far too young and having so much time on her side. If Katsuro found Miuu alive, and unharmed, he would be tasked with bringing her back to the village, what he did in-between that time frame didn’t matter to her. He could question her for all Kali cared, so long as the child was back in the village. If worse come to shove, and Miuu had thoughts of defecting, well Katsuro would have to bring her back by force, something that would be child’s play for the older man.
Yet, Kali would like to believe that Miuu had merely gone on an adventure and had forgotten to notify the administration, she would hated being suspicious of her people. She closed the folder, frowning down at it before straighten herself in her seat. Her hands were folded onto her lap as she leaned back ever so slightly in her seat, eyes gazing up at the ceiling as she waited for the arrival of Katsuro.
