Today Grey was a Chunin. He no longer wore the basic attire that came equipped with his own personal choice of wares. No, today he wore the clothes of a Chunin and sported his vest nicely. With a smile from ear to ear, he left home while he grandfather was scolding him for whatever reason he had to give. He began to think that maybe the man just hated the Uchiha as a clan, or maybe he was being spiteful only because he was jealous of the powers that Grey and his brother had above him. He knew if Shousha was here he would read his thoughts and then the purpose would be defeated. He did not want to think much of the old man for the moment. Fore, now he was only grinning from ear to ear. He was a chunin and things between him and Hana were starting to heat up, and to be honest it was making him a bit excited. But that wasn't the task of the day. Seeing that he was now Chunin, he was now to help a few Genin gain a few techniques that they were yet to use yet. He did not really know much other than the simple body flicker along with a few fire style moves, but he hoped to to the best he could in training them. They were only one step behind him, but he made a promise to himself that they wouldn't catch up purely due to the fact that he would be moving too fast for them to do so. He would be the Hokage! And nothing else would be acceptable. Never would he settle for less. He was going to lead a great place and never look back to the days of being weak.
As he walked, he found his mind wandering, but it was mostly just thoughts of Hana. The two never really established what they were to each other after holding hands, but maybe it was better that way for now. Pushing a name onto what they were would only limit the relationship instead of allowing it to make its natural growth. He walked through town square. But it wasn't the town square he was used to. Normally he lived in the one where there were dark grey clouds above his head, spreading their lack of color to all of the objects below them. Though today, the fire hydrants were bright, the people were smiling, babies laughing and sun shining on the skin of everyone. Today would be a good day, he could feel it in his bones.
He arrived shortly before Hana, though he was sure that she would be here. He waited and didn't worry primarily due to the fact that he was a bit early. She was expected to be on time, he just did not want to stay in the house with his grandpa spewing hatred at him. He tried not to worry about it too much. But sometimes that old man got to him in a way he couldn't understand. Luckily the beauty of the trees surrounding the ninja academy were there to fascinate him. He wasn't always appreciative for nature, though lately he had been becoming more and more aware of all the things around him and began to truly realize that everything around him was there for a reason. That made the world truly beautiful and though he was yet to understand life, he tried not to think too hard about it. It only confused him when he did so.
