Description: Having tanned skin without a single blemish in sight, and chocolate brown colored eyes, Tatsuyo is a bit of a good-looking fellow, although he would never believe that. His hair is spiked upwards, most of the time, while a handful of it is bleached and usually hangs over his forehead. He is rather short for his age, standing at only 5 feet and two inches and weighing 115 pounds, but he's positive he'll grow...eventually. He owns a lean physique due to exercises such as daily jogs, and a few sit-ups here and there.
Tatsuyo tends to wear simple clothing, such as t-shirts and shorts, and comfortable shoes. However, he mostly seen in a white short sleeved shirt, with a black jacket worn over it. Located on the back of the jacket, written in bold white letters is 'S U Y O'. His lower body usually consists of a pair of black baggy pants, which he sometimes replaces with black shorts, and black sandals being worn on his feet. Finally, the youth keeps his kumogakure headband tied securely around his waist.
Nindo: "Don't take the crap life throws at you. Just keep moving forward, with your head held high."
Personality Description: To say the least, Tatsuyo is a somewhat strange adolescent. When it comes to speaking, he is awkward. He always takes the longest time to come up with something he deems "appropriate" to say, and other times he blurts out the first words that come to mind. Whenever he believes he screwed up, the teen becomes slightly flustered and usually shuts himself up before he can embarrass himself further. He also seems to crave intimacy, but the slightest hint of affection sent towards him forces Suyo to become a mess, with him not knowing what to do in the slightest. Of course, his family is an exception. Despite all this, he a kind-hearted person. He cares for those who are close to him, and is willing destroy anything that threatens to harm or take them away. Tatsuyo is a hard-worker as well, and will put his all into tasks brought to him. However, when he is placed within a calm and quiet atmosphere, he prefers to spend his time relaxing. Whether it be by cloud watching, sitting on a tree branch, sleeping in his bed, it doesn't matter to him.
Not saying he isn't smart, but Suyo can act intelligent from time to time, more so than what is considered normal for his age. He is capable of analyzing a situation and conjuring up the best course of action to take. Sadly, this side of him only appears when he is backed up into a corner, or when he is training by himself. The teen is mostly used to others doing the thinking for him, and would rather not "strain" his precious brain.
Favorites: Relaxing, chocolate, cool breezes, and other things.
History: Tatsuyo was born on the cold winter day of January 10th in the village of Kumogakure. He could recall the first years of his life being bland, boring, a bit too normal. However, he was happy at the time, and that's all that matters. Until he reached the age of five, Suyo was spoiled by his parents, and was practically a king within his household due to being an only child. Sadly, it only lasted until he began his ninja training, for his parents wanted him to be ahead of the game once he registered into the academy. The first session with his father occurred only a week after his fifth birthday, and from then on Tatsuyo was constantly pushed and then pushed some more. His father allowed no breaks, and would often smack him if he was caught doing so. The boy's sessions would go on until he collapsed, and could no longer get back onto his two feet. His mother often worried about him, and always prepared him delicious meals or tasty snacks to compensate. But usually an awkward smile here and there, to show he was alright, helped to calm her down.
By the time he reached the age of six, he was used to the harsh training his father gave to him. However, one day, it was taken too far. While trying to work on Tatsuyo's taijutsu his father, being the somewhat violent man he is, unintentionally used more force than necessary in a practice match. Suyo was slammed into the ground head first, and the minute he reached the surface, it was lights out. The incident had given the boy a head injury, one that sent him into a two year coma.
While to others it seemed like ages, once Tatsuyo woke up, he felt as if he had taken a short nap, and he barely registered that he was in a hospital room. His mother was the first to welcome him, practically murdering him with bear hugs. He was then informed on the two years of his life that he missed, two years that could have been spent making friends, two years that could have been spent trying to reach the level his father hoped for him to one day reach. In fact, he had even missed two of his birthdays, and all the presents that came with them. Surprisingly, he wasn't as upset as his mother expected him to be. Instead, he put an awkward smile onto his face and simply asked if they could go home soon.
Once they arrived at their household, Suyo had went on a small hunt for his father, but was unable to find him. Not in the living room, not in his parents' room, not in the back yard, nowhere. When he asked, his mother told him "Daddy's on a mission." He asked for how long. "...He was supposed to come home last week." While his mother always seemed to be worrying about something, Tatsu was the opposite. He was confident in his dad, and he was confident in seeing his dad come through the door the next day. If not, then the day after that, or maybe the day after that. The boy knew he'd come home eventually.
He didn't.
Before he realized it, Suyo was registered into the ninja academy and was placed into a class with children approximately two years younger than he. He didn't think much of it, but the other children had mocked him for his age. They called him "stupid" due to believing he was held back, they called him "dumb", they called him an "idiot." Although he proved himself more competent than most of them, he was still mocked and insulted. Tatsuyo didn't really care, though, for he was more focused on catching up with all that he missed. He needed to make up for it all, otherwise his father would be upset once he returned. If he returned. So, he pushed just like he was pushed in his training before the coma, and rested whenever he could, unlike his training before the coma.
In the blink of an eye, the years had passed, and Tatsuyo had grown to become a healthy fourteen year old teen. And the day after his fourteenth birthday came the genin exams, but he was more than prepared. He passed the tests given to him with complete ease, performing the assigned jutsu, completing the necessary written work. It was a happy moment for him the minute a headband was placed into his grasp, and it was a happy moment for his mother when he presented it to her. He knew, without a doubt, it would have been a happy moment for his father too.

Writing Sample: Chocolate really makes everything better, doesn't it? Surely this was true, for Tatsuyo felt absolutely overjoyed to be munching on a delicious milk chocolate bar as he walked. He was currently taking the shortcut to his house from the store, carrying a bag of groceries in his hand. His mother had needed more ingredients for dinner, and wanted to get started while it was still early, that way she could rest before they ate. Perhaps she wouldn't be very happy to see him eating something already, especially a candy bar, but Suyo was positive he wouldn't be punished. Sure, his mother would be upset...but, he'd get no punishment. Right? ...Right. Eventually, he came across a corner, and was forced to take a turn around it. After he turned, the boy spotted an old women, one who was carrying far too many bags for her to manage. He stopped and stayed frozen for a moment. Should he help, or should he keep walking? Suyo looked between the woman and his groceries before sighing.
"Excuse me!" he called out, being a bit louder than he hoped. Once she paused to stare in his direction, Suyo had to stop himself from looking at the ground instead of keeping his eyes forward. What was he to say next...maybe he should ask if she required assistance? Yes, that seemed about right.
"You wouldn't happen to need help, would you?" he questioned after walking up the old woman, waiting to hear a yes. However, the yes he was expecting was the not the answer he was given, sadly.
"What? Do you think I can't carry these bags myself?" she countered, forcing Tatsu to inwardly panick, "I may be old, but I'm not helpless! How dare you assume that. I used to be a shinobi, you know!"
The boy held up his hands in front of him, one still holding the chocolate bar and the other his grocery bag, "N-No! I didn't mean to assume anything. It just looked like you needed help and and..." The glare he was being given was certainly not helping his situation. "I-I-I'll just...go!" And without looking back, Suyo dashed off, the panick still flooding through...especially after hearing "not even a goodbye?!" after he left.
He really was no good when it came to speaking.
