Kasumi folded on leg over the other and tilted her head back so she can look at the thick misty sky above. Today was the day she would make her papa proud and anyone else who doubted her skills would be sorry they did so. Kasumi honestly didn't care, but she had noticed that her younger sibling had been leaving her behind in the dust, something that simply won't do. She was the eldest in the family out of all her new found siblings. She had to set an example and if that meant being on an deserted island for days on end without any contact with the family then so be it. She had decided to take a boat over to the island, paying a shady looking guy to take her in his boat to the surrounding island. It took about an hour to get there, with the time being spent checking and double checking the bag she packed herself for the time she would be spending there. The boat reached the island a bit sooner than she thought and soon she found herself trudging through the forests of the island. The island was quite big, obvious not bigger than the village and you really couldn't get lost in it, but still. Kasumi walked through the area until she found a clearing that held a small pond of sorts. She decided that this would be the place if any to start and so she began.
Dropping her bags to the ground Kasumi began to mold chakra in her hands. This was the most basic of things relating to ninjutsu. It was simple really, since she was already naturally inclined to utilize chakra ( like most ninja ) it was nothing for her to do something this simple. She watched as her hand coated in a thing layer of blue chakra began to glow bright. Ninjutsu allowed for one to do things that could not otherwise be done with hand seals used as a medium for those who were not as experienced to use it one handed or without it altogether. Kasumi was not new to this she was just very inexperienced and because of that she practiced her hand seals shaping her hand into the proper form while muttering the name of each. " Bird... Boar...Dog...Dragon...Ox...Tiger...Snake...Rat...Horse...Monkey...Hare...Ram. She continued this for a long while until she could do them without saying the names outloud and the form of her hands were in align with the names. When she was satisfied with her hand seal practice she moved straight along with getting a better control over her earth element. Earth was a sturdy element one made for defense which made a perfect offensive if used properly. Moving the charka to her feet she dug her foot down into the earth which turned into a fine, soft texture.
The earth was to Kasumi one aspect of life as all elements shared one. Earth to Kasumi was the perseverance of life. How no matter what hardships it kept it's self alive and pushing. Stopping her chakra she moved the chakra back to her hands the element began to form in her hands, first as dirt crumbling and light and soon as a small clot, like a rock. It was easy to control something she already had an affinity too. Watching the stuff form she crushed her hand around it and threw the debris into the pond next to her. Kasumi smirked as she could feel her training coming to an end. She found the pond to be just another tool. Taking off her sneakers she walked onto the water, chakra keeping her afloat. It was cool being able to do this and she knew she wouldn't have to take the boat back after it was all said and done. Walking around the water she let the even coat of chakra flow, not too much not too little. Chakra control was just another aspect of ninjutsu, Kasumi learned that early. She wondered just how skilled she was and put chakra into her hands and then onto the cool water. With both hands down she flipped her legs into the air, pulling off a handstand. Oh yea she was a boss, look at how cool she was. Kasumi began to walk around on the water, handstand style. Her curiosity grew deeper as she coated her back and pushed herself over, landing on her back. She didn't sink! It was a success she was a ninjutsu master! Laughing to herself manically she rolled around on top of the water, her chakra coating every part of her body so that she would not sink.
Rolling out of the water Kasumi was satisfied that she had mastered the basics of this Combat Skill. She needed to use Ninjutsu for training her clan jutsus but this was just one stop on her long list of Trainings. She didn't need to be the best, she just needed to be stronger than those under her in the family, actually she needed to be strong in general...She needed to not die in battle because she lacked training. Pulling out her tent she decided to set up camp, since she was near the pond she figured this would be a good place to stay since she would be here for at least a week or so.
