Itome went to the training grounds, right before the afternoon would began. He needed to perfect some of his old skills, specifically, his skills with weaponry. He wanted to become a master with them. It was just in case he ever needed to engage in close combat with that Kaguya Jounin. Itome knew that his skills wouldn't be on par with a Kaguya..they were designed for close combat. But, he could at least try and mitigate the skill gap. It was lucky that he possessed the Sharingan, as well. It would help with reading his movements, allowing for easier dodges and counters.
From a beige holster, he would withdraw a kunai, spinning the ring with his left index finger.
"This dummy shouldn't be too hard to hit, it's a stationary target after all."
Itome allowed the ring to slip off of his finger, watching the kunai fly at the dummy's head in a straight line, hitting it where a person's forehead would be.
"Bullseye. But..I need to make this more difficult. I'm not going to improve like this.."
Forming a few handseals, he tapped into the power of his Ninjutsu specialization, forming a clone of him. Unlike the basic one taught at the academy, this one was actually solid. Itome would direct it to move around in circles so it could be used as a better form of target practice. From his holster, he quickly took another kunai and threw it at the clone's head. It zipped through the air, such speeds only possible for those who were extremely adept at this combat specialization.
THUNK!
"Right between the eyes.."
The clone landed on the rocks with a solid thunk, disappearing in a puff of smoke. Even while the target was in motion, Itome was still pretty skilled at hitting it. For two hours, Itome repeated this process. Each time, he would increase the distance between him and the clone by a single meter.
Then, he would move on to the next phase of the training. Basic swordplay maneuvers..first, he would take out his five foot long sword from it's black sheath, standing three feet from a training log.
All I should need is..one perfectly placed slice..
He swung both of his arms diagonally, blade in hands. The result was a clean slice through the log, chopping it into two pieces. It fell to the ground with a small thud, just like a normal body would. Then, he would sheath his sword back.
For the rest of the day, he would train his skills in a variety of weapons. His kunai and shuriken throwing, his swords, and even unique weapons that no one ever would think of as weapons like ninja wire and even...a Yo-Yo! To him, part of being a master of weapons was using the most exotic of them to gain the element of surprise. Now that night began to come, Itome figured his session was over, and would begin to head home.
