DESCRIPTION:

Upon activation, the hidden iris becomes more apparent as the pupil's fibers are stretched to accommodate greater sensory input. Veins will bulge lateral to each eye as blood flow is increased to them.

The Byakugan bestows the user many ocular abilities. Its greatest being the ability to see chakra in all its nature, including its flow and circulation system inside the body with great detail, as well as the color of chakra and capability to differentiate them. Through this, the Byakugan can determine when genjutsu is being used, detect barriers, discern a transformation from a real person, determine who the original person is in a clone technique (not Shadow Clone), and gain the capability to use the Jūken fighting style.

Other abilities include the power to see for extended ranges in all directions except in a blind spot located above the user's first thoracic vertebra. It also allows the user to see through solid objects and grants them telescopic vision, essentially allowing them to "zoom in" on what they are focusing on within their range of vision. Finally, the user can track high-speed movement. However, the extent of these abilities differs depending on the user's level of mastery:

NAME: Basic Gentle Fist Strike

CLASSIFICATION: Taijutsu
DESCRIPTION: The user inflicts internal damage through attacking the body's Chakra Pathway System, subsequently injuring organs which are closely intertwined with the area of the network which has been struck. To do this, the user surgically injects a certain amount of their own chakra into the opponent's chakra pathway system, causing damage to surrounding organs due to their proximity to the chakra circulatory system. Even the slightest tap can cause severe internal damage, hence the name "gentle" fist. This technique does damage as well as the rank of jutsu it is is based on the user's Chakra Control Skill, as well as speed, as a measure of how quickly one can effectively strike chakra pathways. If the user has high Chakra Control but is unable to do higher rank Taijutsu, the lowest available rank will be used. This damage applies to all Gentle Fist attacks.

NAME: Hakkeshou Kaiten - Eight Divination Palms of the Hand, Heavenly Spin

DESCRIPTION: Using the chakra control gained through Gentle Fist training, the user releases a huge amount of chakra from all chakra points on the user's body. After releasing chakra, the user spins rapidly, creating a rotating shield of chakra around themselves and tossing away any nearby attackers. The shield extends a meter radius from the user. It can be activated in midair.

NAME: Hakke Rokujuuyonshou - Eight Divination Signs, Sixty-Four Palms of the Hand

DESCRIPTION: A Gentle Fist skill passed down from father to child within the Hyūga Clan. With the enemy in close range, the user envisions an Eight Trigrams circle, then the enemy is hit with a series of violent blows to sixty four of the tenketsu throughout the opponent's chakra pathway system, stopping their chakra flow. Each set of strikes is done at an exponentially increasing pace and strength, not only disrupting the enemy's ability to mold chakra, but also causing enough internal damage to make moving difficult. First the clan member will strike 2 times, then 2, 4, 8, 16 and finally 32 to make 64. Chakra leaking out from these strikes are strong enough to break wood surfaces behind the target.


NAME: Jūkenpō Ichigekishin - Gentle Fist Art One Blow Body

DESCRIPTION: Utilizing the Hyūga ability to expel chakra from their tenketsu, the user will emit a burst of chakra from their chakra points against an opponent or material which is binding him through bodily contact. This burst will knock aside the binding and free him. This technique can be used with pin-point accuracy to target the weak point of a binding technique (C rank or below) to dispel it, such as the Water Prison technique.

NAME: Hakke Kuushou - Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm

DESCRIPTION: Utilizing the Hyūga ability to expel chakra from their tenketsu, the user will emit a burst of chakra from their palm in the form of a wave. The wave, compressed using the Gentle Fist style is formed to attack the opponent's chakra pathway from a distance, painfully blowing them off their feet with tremendous force. This wave of chakra has a reach of 10m, and can knock opponents back up to 15m.

NAME: Hakke Hyakunijuuhachishou - One-Hundred and Twenty-Eight Palms of the Hand

CLASSIFICATION: Taijutsu
DESCRIPTION: With the enemy in close range, the user envisions an Eight Trigrams circle, then the enemy is hit with a series of violent blows to one hundred twenty-eight of the tenketsu throughout the opponent's chakra pathway system, stopping their chakra flow. It is essentially a doubled version of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms performed at twice the speed. Each set of strikes is done at an exponentially increasing pace and strength, not only disrupting the enemy's ability to mold chakra, but also causing enough internal damage to make even standing difficult. First the clan member will strike 2 times, then 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 and finally 64 to make 128. The user gains 1 tier of speed during the attack. Chakra leaking out from these strikes are strong enough to break stone surfaces behind the target.
