CLAN NAME: Aburame.
TRAITS: Most wear trench coats and dark shades.
ABILITIES:
- Parasitic Insect:
NAME: Parasitic Insect.
RANK: 5.
LIMITS: Aburame Clan.
DESCRIPTION: The Parasitic Destruction Insect Technique is a practice exclusive to the Aburame clan. When a child is born into the clan, their bodies are offered to insects to be used as a nest. Over the years, as the child grows, they are instructed in the clan’s techniques of the clan and pan how the insects may be used in combat. Most Aburame are inhabited by Kikaichū, however, the clan does not limit themselves to the use of just one type of insect. There are others, but they are rare and thus very few members have these rare insects within their body.- Bikōchū:
- The Bikōchū is an insect that use to be used by the Aburame clan but have since stopped being used due to it being an endangered species. Thus, these insects cannot be used and they are protected by the Aburame clan. They can be found in a undisclosed forest that’s uninhabited by humans, and even if one finds the forest, they are hard to find. It has an incredible sense of small, stronger than that of a dog. Bug user’s are drawn to this insect because of the fact that the first scent that the beetle detects after metamorphosis stays in its memory, so whenever it catches that scent again it seeks out the source, making it a formidable tracking device. Since no one is allowed to use these bugs, no one of the clan can be a host.
- Kidaichū:
- The Kidaichū are a species of beetle-like insects that are bred by the Aburame clan. Very few are allowed to utilize this species for their Parasitic Insect Technique due to how dangerous these insects are. Though small in size, if provided with the incorrect amount of chakra, these insects immediately begin to devour the flesh of their host/target, causing them to undergo rapid growth of giants proportions. While this trait makes them effective against targets, it also makes them troublesome to harbor within the user’s own body. Thus, only Jounin are allowed to have these insects and even then, only Jounin that are deemed strong enough to handle the insects.
- Kikaichū:
- The Kikaichū is a beetle-like insect that is bred and utilized by the Aburame clan and the most important part of their unique techniques. All apart of the clan are implanted with the insect shortly after birth with the Parasitic Insect Technique, where the insect nest, feed, and breed. In return for eating the host chakra, the host is able to control and command these insects, and often uses them as their primary fighting style.
The most common use of the Kikaichū in combat is to silently ambush an opponent and drain them of their chakra before they notice the bugs at work using the Mushi Dama technique. Lower level Aburames have been seen to fail to properly drain their opponents chakra. This process can leave the victim with so little chakra that they are unable to move or fight back. Other uses include simply tracking down a target, serving as a protective shield and as a prison to hold and detain a target in place.
A female bug can be left on a target and then they can be tracked by smell, or scout bugs can be sent out and return to tell the host information about the area. Aburame members can also use their bugs to pull poison out of the body of other people; the bugs themselves are seemingly immune to poison. Thanks to the Kikaichū, Aburame clan members are experts in espionage and search-and-seizure missions. They can also be used in great numbers to jam chakra signals, interfering with the abilities of sensor type shinobi.
Since the Kikaichū only have a lifespan of a few hours, they are expendable in combat. To maintain their numbers they are constantly reproducing within their host. If large numbers of the Kikaichū should be wiped out, then Secret Technique: Insect Cocoon can be used to rapidly breed a whole new generation of the Kikaichū, repopulating their numbers. The Kikaichū is immune to Genjutsu due to their simple nervous system.
- Rinkaichū:
- Rinkaichū are a species of beetle-like insects that are bred by the Aburame clan. These insects are extremely rare and thus only two people may be the host of this insect. These insects have the power to destroy the cells of the target, causing excruciating pain in the process. Unlike the standard Kikaichū, these nano-sized insects do not act independently of the user and thus must be transferred to the target by direct physical contact; though the user only has to touch the target as the insects can circumvent most forms of clothing. This doesn’t apply to the user’s clothes however, they must instead remove items in order to effectively increase the chances of planting the insects on the target. With that being said, an Aburame with the Rinkaichū doesn't have any other insect being hosted in their body.
- Shōkaichū:
- The Shōkaichū are one of several species of insects used by members of the Aburame clan. These insects resemble worms and can dig into the ground as well as locate chakra signatures that they report the positions of back to their respective host. With these insects being perhaps the least dangerous to the host, Genin can be a host of these insects.

NAME: Insect Clone Technique.
RANK: C.
ELEMENT: None.
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu. Hiden.
DESCRIPTION: Insect Clone Technique allows the user to gather thousands of Kikaichū in one place where they are then take on the appearance of the user or anyone else the user wishes. The technique is good enough that one would mistake the clone for the real thing, and thus the clone can be used as a decoy or as a diversion. Furthermore, since one can put the insects in standby mode somewhere beforehand and then have them assume the form of a clone later instead of right away, the technique is sometimes considered more effective than the Shadow Clone Technique, though it heavily depends on the situation. When struck, the clone falls apart, transforming back into bugs, but since it’s made of insects, it can be reformed.
The major downside of this technique happens to be the obvious way to get rid of the clones without having to get close and personal with said clone, and that’s through a fire release technique. Another one is the simple fact that the bugs on standby can only be in that mode for two post before they must be formed into the clone or the user has wasted their chakra. The clone itself only last for three post, but requires a charge up time of one post, thus this technique cannot be used at the drop of a hat. On top of that, the clones don’t have a very good range, traveling a max of ten meters from the user. Only one clone can be formed per usage.
NAME: Insect Jamming Technique.
RANK: C.
ELEMENT: None.
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu. Hiden.
DESCRIPTION: Insect Jamming Technique allows the user to spread a large amount of Kikaichū over a wide area around themselves. These insects, instead of being used for offensive purposes like seeking out the target, they emit a small amount of their respective host chakra that they usually feed on. This at first doesn’t seem like much, but against a sensor-type shinobi, the technique can confuse an inexperienced person, as the insects irregular distribution and grouping together results in the creation of numerous false images or chakra signals, thus making it harder to locate the user’s actual location. The insects themselves can only travel a short distance from the user, the max being ten meters.
The major downside of this technique is the simple fact that sensor’s can still pinpoint the user so long as the sensor’s reflex stat is a tier higher than the user’s chakra control stat. The technique itself requires a charge up time of one post due to the amount of Kikaichū needed, but it will last four post before going into a two post cool down.
NAME: Insect Sphere Technique.
RANK: A.
ELEMENT: None.
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu. Hiden.
DESCRIPTION: Insect Sphere Technique allows the user to cover their target’s entire body with their Kikaichū. The chakra sensing Kikaichū are spread over a wide range, and upon finding the intended target, they will converge on that target as the user had ordered. The insects completely surround the target, making a globe around them before attacking all at once. With the target restrained, the Kikaichū begin eating away the target’s chakra, and if the target doesn’t escape, they face death. Drains 10 chakra points from the target per turn.
The major downside of this technique is it’s weakness to fire users, for they can easily burn the insects to a crisp even after they have been surrounded. A target with a strength stat a tier higher than the user’s chakra control stat can break out of the prison, though they will be pursued by the insects. Of course folks can also outrun the bugs, the bugs themselves moving at a speed a tier lower than the user’s chakra control stat. Perhaps the most glaring weakness is the duration time, the technique can only last four post before it automatically ends with the death of the Kikaichū, the user must also charge up for a post before the technique can be used. Upon the technique ending, it goes into a three post cool down and thus cannot be used in quick succession.
