Birth system.

Now, this is rather a mere discussion thread. I want comments on the Birth system which is as follows and you may tell me whether its a good one or not:

So basically, this birth system is a system which isn't like many other forum role-play sites. I've seen a system where they make a specific month for a specific age increasing month. Now, getting back to my point, I feel like we should make something aside of this, such as keeping 3 or even 4 months of gap. So its like 3 months of your real life = 1 year of your age increased icly. I have kept this method in a various forums I used to make, unfortunately, for me none of the sites actually worked. So ya, tell me what do you people think.

This would never work, because sometimes single topics take 1-2 months to complete.

I agree with both Ryan and Kid. Thi doesn't seem really good. People like to RP their characters t the same age for a while, an 3 months is too short a time for a year to go by ICly. If we want a sytem in which the age of a character increases after a while, how about when the Chuunin Exams hit about once a year we have a two year timeskip after this is done? Or when we have a major event that takes a while to do, a year passes by?

I like Seia's idea, chuunin exams can be the reset. And allows us to introduce newer plots.

I don't like that idea. Time skips means years without progress and training IC

You see the thing is, like ryan just said we can't allow people to make their character(s) younger and they can age slowly if they wish to. That's just absurd, in a way that other characters are being aged up at a normal pace as for the players who wish theyr character would age slow are going on a lower pace. This just doesn't seem correct.

I got what you said Kid, we can always change it to 6 months perhaps. No thread would take 6 months and would still be on-going. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, this was just mere a talk regarding the birth system. All in all, I believe the players shouldn't be able to control the ages and it shouldn't be within their hands. As for the chuunin exams or the major events, I'm not too sure about it. It brings me back to your point Seia, people still wouldn't be able to age slowly if they wish to if we conduct the Chuunin exams or any other major event which increases the age of their character by 2 after a certain time skip.

Rofl, it is getting complicated but it has to be done if we are to make this forum successful.

Letting people age their own characters as they wish doesn't work out. For example: Me and ryan are on a team. He is 15, I'm 13, I wanna age him a year, now he is 14, but ryan is still 15, same goes for people my character has met. He aged yet they stayed the same, or they aged and he stayed the same. Doesn't work.
I think a simple solution to Ryan's concern with people getting no training done during a time skip: We have a casual 6 month time skip, every 3 months. Each time we get a time skip, we give people some ryo which they can use on things they "have gotten during the past 6 months" after the time skip.

I'm not saying that ppl can age their characters as they wish. I was talking about EVERYONE aging at a certain point, like a major site-wide event such as the Chuunin Exams, or heck, eery 6 months could even be feasible. I also like the idea of giving ppl ryo or EXP after the timeskip, this way they can get things for the timeskip, that way they haven't done "nothing" for that time.

Yea. Well I don't agree with the aging topic in general. Its honestly irrelevant. Something as minor as aging six months every 3 months is dumb considering most members don't even stay for 3 months and if they do, aging half a year is not a big deal. And no, not going to give people free money just because they're in the right place at the right time. You guys are trying to change so much that wasn't already here to begin with, or on most successful Naruto RPs. Its literally been open for three days. Why are you guys already trying to "spice it up" as if its dying?

We're trying to help you make it more unique so it's not a complete ripoff.

Ripoff of what exactly? NN? Or the entire Naruto series...
